With many years (20 and counting!) in the student accommodation sector we know how stressful it can be if things go wrong when you’re living away from home whilst at university. Having to work out what to do to fix a maintenance issue in your student property is stress you don’t need – your time is far better spent on focussing on your university life!
A major advantage of living in a Roseworth house or flat is that you can don’t need to worry about any maintenance issues and you can benefit from the fact that we have our very own in-house maintenance team who are fully dedicated to looking after any repair works or maintenance on all Roseworth student properties. This means that you don’t need to have any worries over any maintenance work required – we’ll send the team round!
Our friendly maintenance team are dedicated to looking after any maintenance needs that you may have during the course of your tenancy. The team are available 24/7 and no issue is too big or too small for them to solve – we like to refer to them as the A Team!
Here’s a quick introduction to the Roseworth Recue Team:
Alan is the gaffer in charge of the maintenance team and has been working in the property maintenance sector for the past 25 years, having held various supervisor / foreman roles working on behalf of major clients throughout the UK in both the domestic and commercial sector. Alan’s knowledge and experience allows him to manage the team efficiently and effectively.
Steve joined the Roseworth team over 7 years ago, having been a joiner and window fitter he brings an extensive skill set to the team and is able to complete major refurbishment works as required under our properties refurbishment programme.
Steve has worked for Roseworth for the past year and has brought a wealth of experience to the company. Steve’s background is in building and property maintenance and he has been able to adapt to all areas of property refurbishment. As a multi skilled operator he understands the day to day maintenance issues which arise and can deal with them accordingly.
Michael is our newest member of the team, having been a painter and decorator for 5 years. Michael plays an important role in helping to ensure that all our properties meet a very high decorative standard.
Jimmy has worked for Roseworth for over 20 years. Firstly, as a contractor and more recently as a valued member of the Roseworth team. You will find Jimmy completing all sorts of tasks for properties within the maintenance schedule, whilst also looking after the gardens and communal areas of the Roseworth portfolio.
A typical day for our maintenance team involves:
- Tasks being set for each member of the team for the day
- Responding to maintenance calls throughout the day from the Roseworth office
- Responding to any emergency calls from tenants
- Planning ahead for the installation of any faulty appliances
- Sourcing and planning materials for refurbishment works
- Addressing issues that arise throughout the day
- Daily maintenance of communal areas
- Responding to specific requests from tenants
You may well already have seen the lads in action – driving around Newcastle in the Roseworth vans or dealing with inventory or inspection maintenance within your property.
